Edge: check whether yours is curved; the Edge 70 Fusion's quad-curved screen needs TPU film, UV glass or case-friendly glass rather than ordinary flat glass. razr: glass on the cover screen, keep the factory film on the folding screen. moto g: flat, so cheap glass works, but match the model code.
The three Motorola families
| Model | Screen | Family | Protector |
|---|---|---|---|
| Edge 70 | 6.7-inch | Flagship | Check the listing for curve |
| Edge 70 Fusion | 6.8-inch quad-curved | Flagship | Curve-specific protection |
| Edge 70 Max | 6.82-inch | Flagship | Largest of the three |
| razr | Cover + folding screen | Foldable | Cover glass only; keep inner film |
| moto g | Varies | Budget | Flat; cheap glass is fine |
The Edge 70 series reached the UK in April 2026. Motorola has used curved screens across several Edge generations, and curved glass is where most complaints come from: ordinary flat protectors sit on the middle and lift at the sides.
Curved Edge models
Three things work on a curved screen: a TPU film that follows the curve, UV liquid glass that bonds right to the edge, or case-friendly glass that covers the flat centre and leaves the curve exposed under a case. The detail is in our curved screen guide and UV liquid glass page, which apply to any brand.
razr foldables
Same rules as every flip phone: fit tempered glass to the outer cover screen, and leave the factory-applied film on the folding inner screen. Rigid glass can't fold. See folding phone protectors for why.
Find the XT code
Motorola prints a retail name on the box and an XT code in Settings → About phone → Model number, for example XT2515. The same retail name can cover two different XT codes in different regions, and protector listings are cut for one of them. Search the XT code when the generation is ambiguous.
Questions people ask
Do Motorola Edge phones have curved screens?
Several do, including the Edge 70 Fusion with its quad-curved display. Check yours side-on before buying flat glass.
Can I put tempered glass on a Motorola razr?
On the cover screen, yes. The folding inner screen keeps its factory film and must not take rigid glass.
