Buy cover-screen glass that names your exact Flip, because the cut-outs around the cameras differ every generation. Leave the inner screen's factory film alone. Note that the Flip7 FE is not a smaller Flip7: its cover screen is a different size.

Why Flip protectors are so specific
On recent Flips, the cover screen fills the top half of the back, and the camera lenses sit inside it. The protector needs cut-outs in exactly the right place for the lenses. A few millimetres out and you get flare in photos or a lens partly covered. That's why even phones with the same cover screen size don't share glass unless a maker lists both.
Inner screen
As with the Fold, Samsung fits a protective film to the folding screen at the factory and advises against removing it. If it lifts at the crease, have Samsung replace it.
Hinge and frame
A Flip spends its life closed in pockets and bags, where the hinge and frame take the knocks. A case that covers the hinge protects more of the phone than any screen protector.

No. The Flip7 FE has a smaller 3.4-inch cover screen; the Flip7 has a 4.1-inch FlexWindow.
