What we are
ScreenProtector.co.uk is an editorial buying guide for UK readers. We explain which protector type suits which device, whether older protectors fit new phones, and how to fix common fitting problems. We are not a shop: we don't sell protectors, don't list prices and don't hold stock.
How we research
| What | Covers | Based on |
|---|---|---|
| Device facts | Display sizes, dimensions, sensor types and launch dates | Apple, Samsung and Google spec pages and press releases; GSMArena where makers don't publish a figure |
| Fit and compatibility | Whether protectors fit a model, or carry over between models | Manufacturer model lists and cross-listings, which we treat as stronger evidence than matching dimensions |
| Recommendations | Which brands and types to shortlist | What's in the box (trays, spares), published warranty terms, model coverage, and recurring themes in owner reviews over time |
| Troubleshooting | Fixes for bubbles, lifting, sensors and more | Maker instructions and well-established fitting practice |
Each device page lists the primary sources it relies on, with the date we checked them.
What we don't do
- No lab tests. We don't drop-test, scratch-test or measure protectors, so we don't publish numerical scores or performance claims we can't back up.
- No paid placement. Brands can't pay to be included or ranked.
- No invented detail. Where a fact isn't published, such as whether a new model's glass fits an old one before makers confirm it, we say so rather than guess.
How we're funded
Links to Amazon are affiliate links. If you buy after clicking one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commission rates don't influence what we recommend, and many of our pages advise buying less, or nothing. Full details in our affiliate disclosure.
Keeping pages current
We review device pages when Apple, Samsung and Google launch new models, and update fit advice when protector makers confirm cross-compatibility. Every page shows when it was first published and last reviewed. This site was last reviewed across the board after Apple's September 2026 event.
