Affiliate Disclosure

ScreenProtector.co.uk is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk.

What this means

When you click an Amazon link on our site and purchase a product within Amazon's standard cookie window, we may earn a small commission on that sale. The commission comes from Amazon, not from you — the price you pay is identical to what you'd pay if you went to Amazon directly.

How it affects our recommendations

It doesn't. Our rankings are determined by independent assessment against four criteria: clarity, durability, installation ease, and value. We do not accept payment for inclusion in our Top 10. We do not allow brands to influence rankings. Some of the products we recommend pay higher commission rates than others — we have no preference between them and weight purely on merit.

How to verify our independence

If you ever doubt our independence, you're welcome to:

  • Buy the recommended product directly from Amazon without using our link — you'll get the same product at the same price; we just won't earn a commission.
  • Compare our recommendations to other independent UK review sites — we expect significant overlap, since we're all assessing similar criteria.
  • Email us at support@screenprotector.co.uk with any concerns.

Identifying affiliate links

All affiliate links on this site go to Amazon.co.uk and carry our affiliate identifier in the URL. Links are marked with rel="sponsored" in the page source, and individual product cards say "View on Amazon UK" rather than just "Buy now". We don't hide which links are affiliate links.

What we earn — and why it matters

The commission we earn from Amazon funds the running of this site — domain hosting, image storage, the time spent researching and updating reviews. Without the commission, we'd need to charge for the content (paywall) or accept paid sponsorship (which would compromise independence). The affiliate model lets us keep the site free and the recommendations honest.

Cookies

Amazon's affiliate system places a cookie in your browser when you click through. The cookie tracks your purchase for up to 24 hours so Amazon can credit the sale to us. The cookie does not collect personal information beyond the standard Amazon shopping data; we do not see your purchase history or personal details. You can clear Amazon affiliate cookies at any time via your browser settings.
