Use thin, clear, full-adhesive glass cut for the S26 FE. Unlike the S26 flagships, the FE uses an optical fingerprint sensor, so thick or privacy glass can slow or block unlocking. S26 and S26+ glass doesn't fit: the FE is a different size.

The optical sensor changes the advice
The S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra all use ultrasonic sensors, which read through glass with sound and mainly dislike air gaps. The FE uses an optical sensor instead: it lights your finger with the screen and photographs the reflection. That makes it sensitive to anything that blocks or scatters light.

After fitting, delete and re-register your fingerprints under Settings → Security and privacy → Biometrics → Fingerprints so the sensor learns your print through the new layer.
Don't reuse other S26 glass
At 161.6 × 76.9 mm the FE sits between the S26 and S26+ and matches neither. Buy glass that names the S26 FE specifically. Older S25 FE glass doesn't fit either.
