Buy glass whose listing names the iPhone 17. The 17 Pro also has a 6.3-inch screen, but its body is 0.4 mm taller and wider (150.0 × 71.9 mm against 149.6 × 71.5 mm), so only use Pro glass if the maker lists both. The 17e is a smaller 6.1-inch phone with a notch, and its glass doesn't fit.

A matching diagonal is the trap. Screen size is measured corner to corner, so the 17 and 17 Pro can both be "6.3-inch" while their bodies, corner radii and border widths differ slightly. Amazon results mix them freely, and review photos are often of the other phone. Read the compatible-models list in the description, and only use one model's glass on the other if the maker names both.
Glossy glass and Apple's anti-reflective coating
Apple's iPhone 17 generation added an anti-reflective coating to the Ceramic Shield 2 front glass. Standard glossy protectors sit on top of that coating, so the phone will reflect more light with the protector on than without it. Most people only notice outdoors. If you bought the phone partly for its outdoor visibility, go without, or try a matte protector knowing it softens the image. For everyone else, the scratch protection is still worth a little extra glare.
