Find your SM-X model code in Settings → About tablet and buy for that. On a Tab S used mainly for video, get clear glass. If you write with the S Pen daily, choose paper-feel film. On a Tab A, a cheap glass two-pack is plenty.

Anti-reflective displays
Samsung has given some recent Tab S models an anti-reflective display coating. As on the anti-reflective Galaxy phones, a glossy protector covers that surface and brings reflections back. If your Tab S was bought partly for outdoor or bright-room use, consider a matte or paper-feel film, or no protector with a folio case.
S Pen feel
Glass makes the S Pen glide like it does on the bare screen. Paper-feel film adds friction, which many people find makes handwriting neater, but it softens the display and wears S Pen tips faster. Keep spare tips if you go matte. The same trade-offs apply as on iPad: see paper-feel protectors.
