Checking your generation
The generation is also on the original box and in your Amazon order history, under the device name. If a listing only says "Fire HD 10" with no generation or year, look at its compatibility list or skip it.
What goes wrong with the wrong generation
- The front camera sits under the protector's edge, causing hazy video calls.
- A visible gap at one end and overhang at the other.
- Edges lifting inside a Kid-Proof or folio case.
Fitting 10-inch glass

These use the same tablet inside a thick case. Buy glass for the generation, not the edition name, and check the case lip overlaps the protector's edge.
